Biography

Dark Remains is raised in 1998 by Frank, André (Warmaster, ex-Mourning, ex-Etarnal Soltice) and Ramon (Eternal Solstice). Shortly after, Ramon is replaced by Saidi. The line-up is completed after Rogier was found, who added proper death metal vocals. After several gigs, it was time for Dark Remains' first feat: "Death Manifestation", released by the Cleansweep Productions label. This album clearly represents the style of Dark Remains; old school death metal, nothing more, nothing less. Influences which can be heard are of bands like Immolation, (slower) Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under. After "Death Manifestation" a bassplayer Rik (Vuist, Warmaster) is added, and Bob (Ordo Draconis) replaces Saidi on guitar.

After a short break, intentions for a second album lead to a deal with Burning Misery Records. "Planet Earth Scourged" is Bob's and Rogier's last contribution to the band. The latter is replaced by Erwin (ex-Sucamus), a suitable singer from the local metalscene. After a series of shows, Rik is replaced by Alex (Warmaster), who brings along Cliff as a second guitarist.
In this line-up, Dark Remains records their third album, entitled "A Construct to Obliterate", during the start of 2009, a little over 10 years after the band was set up. This album provides the listener with solid and diverse old school death metal, again. In the current line-up, the band is totally ready to destroy any stage with their no nonsense death metal!
